For example, the events of the game move from present time to the past during the course of the narrative. The player also has a chance to play as two characters at the same time.

The Neverhood is a masterpiece of a quest genre. This game was created by the studio Earthworm Jim back in 1996. According to the plot, the main character, plasticine worm, is sent to explore plasticine world. His task is to collect twenty cassettes, put them together in a movie and see what happens in the game.
The main characteristics of the game are a cool story and unusual plasticine world. The story itself was written in 1988. And Steven Spielberg along with the Dream Works Studio helped to turn it into the game. During the development of The Neverhood, more than 3 tons of plasticine were used to animate characters and create an unusual world.
The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes
The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes is another detective quest on our list telling the story about the famous detective from Baker Street. As you’ve already guessed, the series is based on the works of Arthur Conan Doyle. Each part tells a separate story about the life of Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson.
The main advantage of the series is the atmosphere of 19th – 20th century London. You will try on a role of a famous detective, investigate crimes, solve unusual tasks, communicate with suspects and apply the well knows deductive method when possible.

Samorost 3 is a quest game telling a story about exciting adventures of a brave gnome, dragons and knights. The game was released in 2015, fifteen years after the start of the development.
According to the plot, little gnome finds a strange flute near his house. By using the flute, he goes on a journey through space, going from one planet to another, communicating with local residents and helping them solve various problems.
The most distinguishing feature of the Samorost 3 is its unusual tasks which go way beyond mediocre logic. You will have to press bubbles on the shell of the turtle, lead a crocodile chorus and more. The game has almost no dialogues. The thoughts of the main character appear in the form of a pop-up cloud.
The Walking Dead: The Game
The Walking Dead: The Game is one of the best quests about the zombie apocalypse of all times. The game definitely evokes strong feelings all thanks to an excellent script. This is not about destroying the living dead, but rather about the relationships between people encountered during the story.
The protagonist, a guy named Lee turns, out to be one of the few survivors after the tragedy. Fleeing from zombies he meets a little girl named Clementine. Together they will go through different trials, meet friends and enemies and try their best to survive.

Full Throttle Remastered is a quest adventure game about bikers, motorcycles and rock and roll released in 2017. Events of the game take place in the near future, where cars move over the ground with a help of a special air cushion.
The main character is a desperate biker named Ben is investigating the murder of the owner of the last plant that produced vehicles on wheels. Ben has to prevent the closure of the shop producing motorcycles and return his gang.
Full Throttle is an epic game about bikers accompanied with funny stories, fights, friendship and enmity. The game seems crazy but interesting and memorable at the same time.
